2020 Annual Meeting

  

On behalf of the AWBC, thank you for attending the 2020 Annual Membership Meeting September 1-3, 2020.

What an incredible turnout we had! It was so wonderful to see your faces and feel your presence

despite not assembling together in person - we were certainly together in spirit.


 

 

 

 

 

CARES Act Funds Panel Rescheduled

The breakout session on how WBCs are spending Covid funds was rescheduled as a stand-alone presentation on Wednesday, September 9 - to catch a recording HERE.


Session Recap - SBA Administrator, Jovita Carranza

Jovita Carranza, who serves as the 26th Administrator of the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) joined us via video. She was followed by a live “inside the locker room” talk with Associate Administrator, Allen Gutierrez. AWBC is grateful for the role SBA played in our 2020 Annual Meeting - thank you!

Barb Carson, Deputy Associate Administrator of the SBA shared the latest information about the New WOSB Certification. Session Recap - Lunch with Lucy/ BrainTrust

Sherry “Lucy” Deutschmann hit a home run with her talk on empathy as a central characteristic of a profitable company culture. She’s also the architect of BrainTrust, founded in Nashville, TN. State of Small Businesses with ADP 

Ahu Yildirmaz, Co-Head of ADP Research Institute® and Vice President of Corporate Strategy at ADP talked with us about the state of small businesses in today’s economy. We will have her presentation available ASAP.
