What's New in 2020

We are keeping with the pattern of previous conferences while adding optional days with impactful content that provide opportunities to see the Salt Lake City area while revealing new examples of success in entrepreneurship development.

Sunday

Experience one of Salt Lake City's most famous treasures, arrive Saturday night so you can beat the rush Sunday morning to hear the Mormon Tabernacle Choir!  AWBC will soon provide organized excursion options for those who choose to bring guests or want to connect with colleagues for team building experiences. Reservations for excursions will be available late summer 2020.

Monday

Kicking off at 9am Monday morning, Level 1 of How to Run a Successful WBC, including the necessary compliance basics, is offered by SBA's Office of Women's Business Ownership (OWBO). This training has affectionately been called "New Director" or "Newbie" Training, for those who make this training a staple in your agenda. To cover the cost of food and meeting room space, there will be a break-even fee for Monday's sessions.

Please note: Level 1 Training will not be repeated during the rest of the conference. Breakout sessions Tuesday and Wednesday will be more in depth to build on the foundations from Level 1.

Bring your WBC Host to the conference for a special Host-only Summit! Hosts will have the opportunity to connect with peers and leadership at SBA. 

Does your WBC have an advisory board, leadership board or other volunteer leadership team that would benefit from leadership development training? We'll offer specialized content including a class on Robert's Rules of Order for those that want to brush up on their official meeting procedures.

AWBC, in partnership with WBC-Utah, will organize Dine Around Town groups for those of you who want to connect and check out the food and/or beverage scene.

Tuesday-Wednesday

2 full days with main stage and break out sessions designed to meet your networking and educational interests. Tuesday evening, don't miss the special welcome reception! More to come on the specific sessions being offered soon!

Thursday

Don't leave just yet! Stay Thursday and get out of the hotel to see WBC-Utah and visit with the Resource Partners in town. This is your chance to "go and see," giving you more depth and insight into the successes you can bring back to your community.

Registration Policies


Eligibility
The Association of Women's Business Centers (AWBC) Annual Leadership Conference is open to Women's Business Center professionals, WBC Host Organizations, Consultants, Volunteers, United States Federal Government employees, and young professionals and students seeking to learn more about the state of women entrepreneurship and how to support the network of Women's Business Centers. AWBC reserves the right to refuse ineligible registrations.

Substitutions/Cancellation/Refunds
Substitutions within this program are gladly accepted. A substitution of your full registration is permitted prior to the conference by submitting a written request to info@awbc.org.

All registration cancellations and refund requests must be made in writing 45 days prior to the conference start date. A refund of the full conference fee, minus a $100 cancellation fee, will be administered for cancellations received by that date. Submit all requests to info@awbc.org.   

AWBC regrets that refunds will not be given for no-shows. All requests for exceptions to the cancellation/refund policy must be submitted in writing by the registrant with appropriate documentation no later than 10 days prior to the conference start date. After that time, no refund considerations will be made.

Family and Guests

Invite your partner, spouse, kids or non-industry guest to the annual conference. Tickets are available to receptions or single events, please inquire to info@awbc.org.


Payment
Payment in full is required in order to process registrations.  There will be a convenience fee of 1% added to the registration rate.

Confirmation
You will receive an email confirmation of your registration.  If you have not received a confirmation within 5 business days after registering, please contact AWBC.

Consent Clause
Registration and attendance at, or participation in, AWBC Conferences and other activities constitutes an agreement by the registrant to the use and distribution (both now and in the future) of the registrant or attendee’s image or voice in photographs, videotapes, electronic reproductions, and audiotapes of such events and activities by AWBC and other third parties, including but not limited to the venue, the host city, and the host WBC(s). Your registration will also include a Conference Mobile App technology that monitors your activities throughout the meeting, such as session attendance and booths visited.
